Stefan Bucher
Stefan Bucher is a great inspiration. It was interesting to see the passion he has for art. My favorite part was listening about how young he was when he started designing and actually making money. He was fifteen when we would draw ads for businesses and they liked it. They would pay him and he would use the money to buy more supplies. He loved making art and he still does. Even when he does the daily monster he tries not to plan it and just let his mind create something new each starting with a splash of ink. At the end we even received a poster with monsters that glows in the dark.

Digital Comps
These are our digital comps for now. We just want everyone to know we will be taking our own photographs for the final ads. These are just images we found to show our idea and basic composition. We are actually going to go out and take the actual pictures we are going to use this week. Also the bathroom stall idea is missing the sayings for now. We are trying to think of funny things to put n the post-its!

1. The first thumbnail is a concept that will use different situations where a post it would be needed. The drawing shows someone leaving a message right on the desk.
2. This uses some sort of a poem that shows the different types of post its there is. Each post says something like one post it, two post it, red post it, green post, etc.
3. The third thumbnail is a wall with a big post it on it so that graffiti can go on the post it. Its like a no vandalism kind of thing.
4. The third one is a bathroom stall that has random sayings on them like stalls usually have.
5. This is just a post-it with a really random quote. Its just amusing.
6. This one is a street light that has a post it with the street name. We are just using that post it in exaggerated ways.
7. This one is a funny one that covers up a bald head with post its. So its ways you can use post its as a solution.
8. This is a pirate with a post it patch.
9. This thumbnail shows the evolution and the post it is the newest one. It starts with a rock.
10. This is an american flag made up of post its.
11. This is post its being used as censored bars.
12. This drawing shows a refrigerator that has items and how old they are since post its are a way to organize ourselves.
13. This is a jewelry box with a ring and a post it that says "marry me" because post its are a way to share messages.
14. This is just taking a part of a face and drawing in what it is covering with a funny face. In this case it is the mouth.
15. The drawing shows an entertainment center and the TV is missing. In its place there is an IOU note on a post it.

Post-It!
Daniel and I decided to do our advertising campaign on Post-It notes.
History:
In 1968 Spencer Silver, who worked with 3M, invented a reusable pressure sensitive adhesive. He promoted his invention but it was not very successful. A colleague of his, Art Fry, w
ould get frustrated because his bookmark would fall out of his hymnal (he was part of a church choir). He started using the adhesive to place his bookmarks in his hymnal. He then
developed the idea and 3M launched the product. By 1980 it was sold nationwide and then spread to Canada and Europe.
Audience:
Our primary target audience is college students. We feel most peo
ple to use them is office staff or students. We want to make the campaign fun and appeal to the students.
Competition:
In general
we think it is index cards or memo pads. Also just the store brand "sticky notes" people can buy at staples or other office supplies stores.
Strategy:
Our strategy is to use post it notes in exaggerated ways. We will be showing situations in which a post-it would be needed but not show the actual post-it and the tagline will be something like "Need a Post-it"
Our ads will be bright and cheery.
